Amputations, due to trauma or mistreatment, are common amongst birds so when we were approached to develop a prosthetic to fit her rescued pigeon we were happy to provide our assistance. Taking measurements from the injured bird we quickly produced a CAD models and 3D printed a leg assembly for test fitting.

After a couple of further iterations we were able to achieve a fit and length that enabled the bird to tentatively bear weight on its injured limb.
