When we’re not immersed in client projects, we always try to make time for both internal and external workshops, which give the D Squared team the chance to experiment with new areas of design, art, and craft, often exploring techniques they don’t usually encounter in their day‑to‑day work.

One particular highlight was a two‑part ceramics workshop led by Altar Pottery, where a simple work social became a hands‑on creative experience. Guided step‑by‑step through the process, we created our own cups and coasters, gaining a deeper appreciation for the artistry and skills behind ceramic design and manufacturing.

In other workshops, we’ve delved into leatherworking and concrete casting, allowing the team to get to grips with different materials and processes, creating everything from bowls and plant stands to wallets and shoulder bags. Each session not only builds new skills but also fuels inspiration, collaboration, and our shared passion for making.
